Lincolnshire Music Education Hub is delighted to announce that Youth Music has awarded funding for project, EVOLVE. This amounts to around £150K over three years and will be led by Lincolnshire One Venues (LOV).
The project will develop paid opportunities for Emerging Music Leaders and build relationships between schools, cultural organisations, and venues to create a more diverse music offer for children and young people across rural Lincolnshire; increasing accessibility in the arts by targeting Children and Young People from key areas of deprivation in the county. EVOLVE is a series of 10 week programmes which will begin and end at a LOV arts venue and with 8 creating sessions hosted in local schools.
EVOLVE will initially be a programming collaboration with venues, highlighting a high profile musician designed to inspire or challenge young people’s artistic vision. “We are thrilled to be collaborating once more with Lincolnshire Music Education Hub on a project that will inspire and empower children and young people and help us develop our relationships with schools and regional partners.” Leana Sherwood, Project Manager for Lincolnshire One Venues. Jennifer McKie, Senior Music Adviser for Lincolnshire Music Service, lead organisation for the Lincolnshire Music Education Hub said: “We are delighted to collaborate with LOV and work on a fantastic project aligned to the strategy of the Lincolnshire Music Education Hub, which encourages increased access for all children and young people.”
