Lincolnshire Music Service offers high quality individual and small group tuition in a range of styles and genres. Standards are outstanding and tuition is delivered by highly skilled, DBS cleared instrumental tutors.
We have established an outstanding reputation for the quality of our instrumental and vocal teaching with a high percentage of schools accessing this provision. We also offer access to an instrument free of charge for complete beginners for an initial period of two terms.
Tuition is offered on a range of instruments: vocal, strings, brass, woodwind, keyboard/piano, guitar and percussion. Tutors are distributed across the county by Area Managers who have the local knowledge and expertise necessary to forge excellent relationships with schools.
You will need to book tuition for each academic year, even if there are no changes. In order for a booking to be confirmed and considered in the timetabling process, you will need to place your booking via the Book Tuition link.
Please note that the deadline for requesting tuition for the start of the 2019/20 academic year is Friday 21 June 2019. Otherwise tuition can be requested at any point during the school year. The service will schedule 36 visits by each teacher and the school may claim a refund in respect of visits cancelled by the service.
Please note tuition cannot be booked directly with the instrumental tutor.
Once your request has been submitted, your allocated Area Manager will source one of our instrumental tutors to carry out the work. Either the Area Manager or the Instrumental Tutor will contact you to discuss arrangements for the new academic year at the beginning of September. Where possible we try to allocate the same teacher to your school on a rolling basis to provide continuity, however no guarantee can be made.
We do understand that bookings can be unpredictable at the start of the academic year; therefore we will accept adjustments within the first few of weeks of September. Additional tuition can be booked throughout the year by contacting our office.
Please note a minimum of 40 minutes buy-back is required per tutor in order for delivery to take place. Some exceptions will take place relating to endangered instruments such as bassoon. Please call us direct for clarification
