Thank you

During school closures as a result of COVID-19 we are going on-line! Our music teachers are gearing up to deliver lessons via Google Hangouts/Meet . During a time of great stress we feel it is important to try and retain a sense of continuity, especially regarding music progression and simple enjoyment!

We hope that giving our pupils the opportunity to receive a regular lesson with their tutor will be something to look forward to each week. And who knows, with the potential for a lot of time on their hands, we may even see some fantastic progress.

If your son/daughter has been receiving lessons at school from an LMS tutor, your online lessons will be fully subsidised. Please complete the form below and await an email from the music service.

NB-You may not be assigned the same tutor that you would have in school.

If you are a new pupil to LMS and wishing to register for online lessons with LMS, please also complete the form below an await an email from the office assigning you a tutor and refer to the partially-subsidised pricing matrix below.

Primary Pupils

If the pupil is in primary school, it may be wise to have an adult (parent/guardian) in the room to help with any issues, at least at the start.

As part of Lincolnshire County Council, LMS takes safeguarding extremely seriously. All our tutors have a relevant DBS/CRB check, and receive up to date safeguarding training on an annual basis. The teacher would normally take reasonable steps to ensure that the pupil is safe within their teaching environment and this situation is no different. We do however, ask that you ensure that your child is safe in their environment for the duration of the lesson, with minimal disturbances, and with an adult present in the house at all times. Lessons should take place in an appropriate space, i.e, not a bedroom.

Our partner NYMAZ (North Yorkshire Music Action Zone) have produced new resources in the light of this outbreak, to assist in understanding digital distance learning , the challenges and opportunities that it creates. Please visit their website as part of your research. https://www.nymaz.org.uk
