The Lincolnshire Music Education Hub Awards were launched in 2015 to celebrate musical achievement in Lincolnshire. Nominations for the 2020 awards are now open and we encourage active participation by all.

All nominations for awards will be assessed equally regardless of the musical genre they represent.

Young Music-Maker

The Music Education Hub selection panel is expected to shortlist THREE nominations and the shortlisting will be anonymised. The award to go to the nominee who receives the most votes in an online election. The young musician should be resident in AND/OR attend school in Lincolnshire. The assessment should be based on the student's participation in public performances rather than examination results.

Most Promising Jazz Musician

The Music Education Hub selection panel is expected to select the winner however the decision making will be anonymised.  The young musician should be resident in AND/OR attend school in Lincolnshire. The assessment should be based on the student's participation in public performances rather than examination results.

Inspirational Music Leader

This is open to anyone who is nominated on the basis of the quality and influence of their work within Lincolnshire. The Music Education Hub selection panel is expected to shortlist THREE* nominations and the shortlisting will be will be anonymised. The award to go to the nominee who receives the most votes in an online election.

School Music Department (primary / secondary / special – up to three awards will be made)

This is open to LA schools, free schools and academies. The award should go to the school that has offered the best opportunities to its pupils taking into account quality and range of activities and level of commitment. The music education hub selection panel will select THREE* schools that will receive an award. The selection will be carried out "blind" (the identities of the nominated schools will be concealed).

*The selection panel has the discretion to vary the number of awards according to the nominations received.

Awards Ceremony:

We are delighted to announce that shortlisted nominees and selected winners will be invited to an awards ceremony, hosted by Lincolnshire County Council, at the Lincolnshire Show 2020 on Weds 24th or Thurs 25th June 2020. Please save the date at this stage and more details will be released in due course.

Please note nominations should not be submitted for individuals or schools who successfully secured an award in 2019.
